For years, India’s wedding and film industries have shared talent, craftsmanship and ambition—yet rarely shared the same professional platform. That changes this September as WV Connect Season 4, Asia’s largest B2B wedding summit, brings the two industries together for its first-ever “Weddings & Films” edition.

Scheduled for September 1–3, 2026, at Arth Resorts, Hyderabad, the summit was officially launched with a flag-hoisting ceremony led by Kishore Reddy, Chairman & MD of Arth Resorts, in the presence of prominent names including Kumar Raja of Designs by Raja, Ruchi Pant of Ramoji Film City, celebrated production designer Shwetha Sabu Cyril and celebrity wedding photographer Photriya Venky.

The concept goes beyond a thematic crossover. Weddings and films increasingly share production designers, art directors, technicians, photographers, choreographers, fabricators and cinematographers. Wedding celebrations today often resemble large-scale film productions, while cinema professionals are increasingly finding opportunities within the luxury wedding ecosystem.

WV Connect Season 4 aims to turn this informal crossover into a structured business opportunity. Over 800 delegates from more than 20 cities are expected to participate in keynote sessions, WedX talks, curated business meetings, speed networking, Movie Blind Date Night and the WV Awards 2026.

Hyderabad provides a natural setting for this convergence. The city is simultaneously a major wedding market and the heart of Telugu cinema, home to Ramoji Film City, one of the world’s largest integrated film studio complexes.

The summit’s Advisory Board brings together influential voices from both industries, including Sabu Cyril, Kumar Raja, Aditya Motwane, Gitika Ganju Dhar, Amit Sarin, Sumit Ghosh and Ruchi Pant.
