In an era where education is rapidly evolving, true leaders are those who nurture intellect without losing sight of values, creativity, and culture.

Sonal Verma is one such visionary whose life’s work beautifully bridges academic excellence with India’s timeless artistic heritage. As the Director and Chairperson of Hill Foundation Group of Education, she has created an ecosystem where students are encouraged not only to excel in classrooms but also to discover their individuality through art, discipline, and holistic learning.

With an academic foundation that includes Electronics Engineering, an M.A. in English, and a B.Ed., Sonal Verma represents the perfect blend of technical expertise and educational leadership. Her journey, however, extends far beyond academics. A trained classical artist holding Prabhakar qualifications in Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Vocal Music, she has devoted herself to preserving India’s cultural legacy while inspiring young learners to embrace the richness of Indian traditions.

For more than a decade, she has served as an Examiner for Prayag Sangeet Samiti, mentoring aspiring artists and contributing significantly to the promotion of classical arts across the country. Her performances have graced prestigious stages across India as well as international platforms in London, Birmingham, and Mauritius, showcasing the elegance and depth of Indian classical dance to global audiences.

Her contribution has earned widespread recognition through numerous prestigious honours, including the Rajiv Gandhi Award for Excellence in Education, the Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Sadbhavana Award, the Youth Icon Award, and the Womenovator – 100 Faces Women Entrepreneur Award. She has also been felicitated by the Governor of Uttarakhand and several distinguished institutions for her remarkable work in education, culture, and women empowerment.

Beyond accolades, Sonal Verma’s greatest achievement lies in the success of her students. Under her mentorship, young dancers have reached the Grand Finale of Vande Bharatam Nritya Utsav in consecutive years, while six disciples have successfully completed their Arangetram, marking a defining milestone in Bharatanatyam. Her artistic journey has also been showcased on Doordarshan, leading television channels, and at renowned institutions including ONGC, THDC, IIT Roorkee, ISKCON, the International Yoga Festival, and the Mussoorie Winterline Carnival.

As an educator, administrator, performer, and mentor, Sonal Verma continues to redefine what meaningful education truly represents. Her unwavering commitment to nurturing confident, compassionate, and culturally rooted individuals ensures that every student she mentors carries forward not just knowledge, but values, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for India’s extraordinary heritage.
